A couple of shots from the XE with the Fuji XF 35mm prime lens at f1.4.

Just grabbed the camera to take a couple of candids. I kept the XE and sold the XP. I think it's a subjective decision. Part of it was the better resale on the XP. My guess is photographers have purchased the XE bundle with the zoom lens to add to their XP camera and then put the leftover XE on the used market at really good prices. I can see the point of keeping the XP and if they were worth the same, I probably would keep the XP. Since the XE isn't worth as much as the XP, it's not worth the extra to keep the XP. Subjectively I like the XE as much or more than the XP, even though the XP has a better build, the better viewfinder and the better screen. I like the smaller XE in my hand and it's lighter to carry around all day. It also seems narrower and handling it is smoother. Doubt I used the flash but it is there if I need it.

I have really enjoyed reading about and lusting after the Sony RX1. I'm satisfied with my cameras, especially the XE but we (I) always want what we don't have and I don't have the RX1. I really enjoyed Andrew Kim's blog, which I fell upon reading about RX1's. He is amazingly talented and I bought the Paper program for my ipad after reading about it and seeing what Andrew's done with it. I'll be interested to see what he and Microsoft work out in regard to his marketing ideas for Windows. Check out his Blog:
