Leica X1

Even though the X1 is gone, its snaps live on. There is no question in my mind that if their value continues to decline, I will, one day exchange some equipment for another one. Outstanding image quality, build quality (except the plastic extending lens, which doesn't exude Leica quality but does allow the lens to get it's proper distance from the sensor to keep the size of the camera small) and photographer controls. Less is more and the Leica controls are wonderful. It feels good in the hands and is a great out and about shooter. All the following are jpegs right out of camera. The colors do pop but I wanted it that way for the wonderful sand paintings. They can be "improved" by post processing but they really don't need it. I have grown to like the 35mm as a good walk around lens. And what a great sensor in such a small camera. Hard to take a bad shot, actually.
