Panasonic dmc-lx3 Fayetteville AR Confederate Cemetery

July's weather has been extraordinarily beautiful. Highs in the high 70s and low 80s. I felt I needed to take advantage and decided to visit somewhere I hadn't been before. I recently re-acquired a used Panasonic LX3. I took it with other "better" cameras on a cruise and found the little LX3 to be very capable and ounce for ounce to be a camera I didn't want to be without. I just put a new AGM battery in the Harley and I need to ride it at least weekly to keep it charged. So the XR came out of the garage, the LX3 went into the pocket and we rode over to just south and east of downtown. The cemetery is on a hill and looks across a valley toward downtown. The soldiers interred here died in the battles of Prairie Grove and Pea Ridge. The monument lists Missouri, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana as places of origin of the dead. Here a couple of shots of this quiet, peaceful place.
