Lego 10179 Millennium Falcon - circa 2007 - clone build - Christmas 2017 / Phase One complete

Phase one, infrastructure, is complete. Superstructure plates (2nd phase) come next. The original Lego 10179, produced in 2007, goes for over $1,000 (cough) in collectible form, used. Individual pieces collectively cost more than that. Lego introduced the 75192 model earlier this year. If you were a Lego VIP and got on the waiting list, you could get one for around $800. The 2007 model had over 5,000 pieces, the 2017 over 8,000 (actually the Lego model has under 8,000 but the Lepin clone is over 8,000). I procured the Lepin clone models of each a couple weeks ago. The Lepin 05033 Star Plan model came first and that's where we (Jacob, my son helped) started Christmas weekend. Now doing a couple of steps each day. Biggest challenge is fishing through 5,000 pieces in over 100 individual bags to find discrete pieces to assemble. Back when Phase Two is complete.
